Courtney is passionate about providing stronger, more equitable supports to children, young people, and families in under-resourced communities. She has worked in urban public schools for 17 years, starting with her role supporting the growth of school networks at NewSchools Venture Fund. She then held program and operating roles with PUC Schools and Aspire Public Schools. She deepened her commitment to providing rigorous, integrated wraparound services while at BELL, a national summer learning and after school program. Courtney comes to The Primary School most recently from her role as Chief Sites Officer with Peer Health Exchange, a national health equity organization that works to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to make healthy decisions. She grew up the proud daughter of two public school teachers, and has called the Bay Area home since arriving as a college freshman in 1995. She holds a BA in Public Policy as well as an MBA and Masters in Education from Stanford University.
